Bad luck for a kid who has been through so much and seemed to be improving each game. When I saw his ankle twisted in at 90 degrees I was reminded of myself and my many ankle sprains. Each time I sprained my ankle my ligaments stretched a little until after so many sprains and stretching each sprain resulted in a 90 degree twist. Hopefully his is a simple sprain and he can get back on the floor soon.

RE: Chad
Tubby called it a dislocation. I think you gotta tear up a lot of other stuff before that happens. Sickening.

RE: Chad
CA confirms "severely dislocated ankle". Always heard (don't know that it is true) that a bad strained ankle is worse that a clean break. Hope it's not so in this case & Chad will be on the mend soon. Sid Chad returned to the arena in a cast & flew home with the team.

I think you meant SPRAINED. I badly sprained each of my ankles twice, each time landing on someone's foot and that is the worst pain and took a long time to get back to 100%. One thing I thought was interesting was that Chad did not appear to be in a lot of pain, so I am hopeful that he doesn't have a lot of ligament damage. I am surprised that he (and any college player) is playing without ankle braces or being taped - just way too easy to hurt your ankles playing basketball.
My lesson learned...The 2nd time I sprained my right ankle, the doctor put it in a cast. I was pissed because I thought that was overkill and I didn't want to be out 6 weeks. Well, my ankle had not been quite right from the 1st sprain prior to the 2nd one, but when they took that cast off 6 weeks later, I was literally sprinting on it the next day. It felt great - nice & tight & strong. It felt better than my other ankle that I had sprained several years earlier. My lesson, if you sprain it, put it in a cast and let it fully recover - it won't do so otherwise.

So right you are!!!
All my sprains (at least 15) were all before casts were being used, so just soak it in Epsom salt, the cure for all aches and pains of the mid 20th century from hemorrhoids to pimples.

What epsom salt won't cure, vick's vapor rub will fix.
WD-40 on that knee joint for pain and stiffness.
We believed in concentrated salt tablets before, during, and after hot weather practice, too.
Different age.

Yep, phone responses aren't my forte - when it comes to spelling.

After my 4th sprain, I swore I would never play again without taped ankles. Now, they have pretty could ankle braces that will do the job that are a lot easier to put on and off and cost less in the long run. That tape will add up $$$.

Buddy was allergic to the make up. WD-40 cannot cure that.

That was almost as gross as the Theisman leg photo. Hope no one post it as it is not something you want to look at.
There are certain angles body parts should not turn and this was one of them
