Snow Bowl
Anybody watching that game? D2 championship game on ESPN 2 between North Alabama and NW. Missouri State. They are playing in a blinding snowstorm.

I have flipped to it a couple of times. Have never seen that much snow on a field before.

Probably would've gotten a decent crowd in normal mid-December Kansas City weather with overcast skies and temperatures around the freezing point, but not when the roads resemble a bobsledding track.

The HC of NW Missouri State have been named the new head coach of Abilene Christian of D1 Southland. The coach of the winning team is bringing his style to a D1 school now. Lets see how he can turn Abilene Christian around next season?

Anything like that Marshall-Toledo MAC championship game when Randy Marsh was there? It was a blizzard. TV had a hard time covering it. Yard lines were a guess.

I have personally never seen more snow actually on the ground than in yesterday's game.

It was far from a blizzard in this Dakota fans eyes. A nice snowfall.

Blizzards are killer storms, like hurricanes..

RE: Snow Bowl
In the NFL, the Eagles played the Bears in a fog situation that was so bad that, literally, when the KO's and punts took place the ball vanished from view and the returners just stood there until the ball hit the ground. And there were a couple of spectacular long passes that were "timing" and precision route running type plays.

One, I remember, the camera and the call crew--who were complete obscured in the box--had no idea what had happened until the TD celebration in the endzone had been flagged for "excessive celebration." Was an really amazing game.

Before my time, but there was the Snow Bowl. Michigan beat Ohio St. 9-3 to earn a Rose Bowl berth. Michigan never got a first down. Ohio St. had only 3. Both often punted on first down. Combined there were 45 punts.

I remember that game, it was 1988, and it was hugely anticipated, the Buddy Ryan - Mike Ditka grudge match.

Sadly, it was the worst televised game ever. As fans, we simply could not see 90% of the action that was taking place, the fog was so thick and hung so low.

Similar to the Florida - NC State Gator Bowl. Sideline cameras could get you much of the action but you couldn't see the other side of the field. The upper level cameras were worthless.
