RE: Chad
The strange thing was that his facial expression was like he was chilling at the beach....like he wasn't feeling any pain.

To see his ankle limp like that and his facial expression like it was made me feel sad for him. It was like he was so used to pain that nothing fazes him. No kid should have to go through all that he has.

Classy move by the Sooners to come out and support Chad. That was an awesome move on their part. Feel awful for Chad.

Yes indeed. A move that should be publicized much more than a dunk.

Not a common injury. From what I read it is usually accompanied with a fracture. If no fracture then all ligaments on one side have to rupture. He will be out a while.

I think he is so used to pain that he is almost immune to it. That is normally an extremely painful injury.

I'd say he will be back much sooner than expected.
Rehab and soreness but I bet he's back soon.

Yeah, its hard to dislocate an ankle... impossible without damaging something else.

RE: Chad
The recovery time for a dislocated ankle is between six and 12 weeks, depending on the severity of the injury and if surgery was needed

I dislocated mine years ago (baseball) and made it back in 5 weeks. Different sport and I'm not 6-11, so there is that. I guess we will have to wait and see.

RE: Chad
Maybe the kid should just call it a career and look on to future after basketball. Not worth permanently going through life with physical restrictions. Has too many years in his future to have to suffer through physical pains and restrictions.

RE: Chad
They have a still photo of it on NBC site,( i am not going to post it). But the way the ankle is turned in relation to the leg it reminds me of the Theisman injury in a way.

Very gross looking.
