You would certainly think that any employee having the same job for 7 yrs would be more productive after 7 yrs but JP exhibited a progressively more unwilling attitude to listen to anyone the longer he was in the job. Folks tried to help JP be a better coach & he thought he knew better. As recruiting fell off year after year, JP's lack of coaching skills were more exposed. It was as self-caused implosion.

I actually do think he got better with Xs and Os but never improved dealing with the the Kurans and the Joes.
