Tough crowd.

Just thought if anyone else had seen it they might want to comment on it.

I don't get the hate here.

Like any movie that I want to see that draws well, I will wait a few weeks until the crowds die down. I barely like going to movies with mah boo, even though she doesn't talk during films. I like to watch films with as few people around me as I can.

RE: Rogue One
Solid

I took the family yesterday.

I think it stood true to the originals, similar to Force Awakens. Great fight scenes and dogfights. Characters were solid.

I opted for 3d on this one and it was well worth it because of the dogfights alone.

Many original or older Star Wars fans wanted a more darker film like Empire Strikes Back (the best one of them all) and got it. I love the movie for that particular point. The franchise was created by Lucas to be a Space opera and adventure series for kids and adults but like the 3 prequels and ewoks in ROTJ, George kept trying to push the 'kiddie' angle too much. Now by this approach Disney can do anything with it. I would like to see an origin movie.....like how Jedi and Sith started thousands and thousands of years ago in the Star Wars world. Completely New characters and situations would be awesome

Really good movie. My 13 year old son likes this one the best. Great fight scenes and the new robot was really funny

Agreed - I went in skeptical, but loved it. Like someone else said, it's a tad rougher than the "traditional" SW movies, but still okay for kids.

RE: Rogue One
I thought it was solid. Darth Vader scenes were great. Had some other cameos that were fine. Small quibbles with a few things, but overall liked it.

FYI - in order:

Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
Rogue One
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Revenge of the Jedi
The Force Awakens
