RE: Missing players
UNH's stud TE was suspended for the 1st 5.5 games of the season for an 'undisclosed violation of team rules'. He 1st played in the 2nd half of their 6th game @ Elon. 5.5 games = exactly half of a season, so probably failed an NCAA drug test (non ped).

I would assume playoff games count toward the suspended games total. Will be interesting next year at WR considering now:
-Ravenel: Sr
-Taylor: Sr
-Davis: Sr
-Miller: Jr
-Hyman: rJr
-Alls: rJr. Next season's availability/games missed ???

ILB:
-Steele: rSr
-Holloway: So
-Herfeford: Jr. Next season's avalablity/games missed ???

That would be my initial thought as well, but would Alls have made the plays Miller made?

Who knows, but he was a huge part of the offense.

He may not have made the same plays but he might have made other plays. Alls has been pretty special this year.

Don't disagree - but Miller was easily the most productive receiver Friday night.

Miller has made the 2 biggest catches over the last 2 seasons: @ SMU & @ NDSU..

When the game is on the line its Miller Time...

Regarding Kirsch, someone on hear talks to his dad every week, and every week his dad lies.

I spoke to his dad AT the SHSU game. He didn't seem concerned in the least. He's a fun guy but he's clearly not a doctor.

I would imagine that he'll be ready to go but you never know. Would love to have Kirsch out their for a final send off, guys an absolute beast and should be drafted.

On another note, Josh Wells absolutely destroyed two defenders leading the convoy for Bortles today into the end zone, it was nice to see him back.

RE: Missing players
Wasn't Alls was suspended at Duke due to a failed drug test? Assuming that carries over it effectively means his career is over even if it wasn't PED.

Calling him a liar is wrong. If he believed his son would play that doesn't make him a liar. It makes him an optimistic father..

RE: Missing players
Strange that the review the semifinal games on STATS specifically states the 4 YSU players were suspended due to failed drug tests. But, no such declaration about the JMU suspensions. Until I hear an official release that says those guys failed drug tests, I hold out hope that it was due to other circumstances (academics, displine measure, etc,).

RE: Missing players
Just rewatched the game and for what it's worth, they said Hereford was out for suspension due to "coach's decision" and Alls was out with an "undisclosed injury". JMU could just be protecting them or people may be connecting dots that aren't there due to the YSU situation.

I doubt that would ever happen on this board 05-nono

Quote:Miller saw more snaps at receiver after starter Terrence Alls was suspended, coach Mike Houston said. JMU linebacker Brandon Hereford was also suspended, Houston added.

“We have a very high standard of expectation for our players and their conduct, both on and off the field,” Houston said in a phone interview following the game. “Unfortunately, I had some guys that did not meet that standard. We’re going to do right, so they have been suspended indefinitely.”

Houston would not elaborate of the nature of the offenses.

What is the status of the center Rigney? He walked off when he was injured.

No knowledge of Rigney's status but I was very impressed with Mac Patrick. Being thrown into the fargo dome at the center position as a true frosh isn't the ideal situation.

Agreed. He did a great job of stepping into one of the most important positions on the field and not only handling his blocking, but having some pretty sharp snaps the rest of the game.
