RE: UCF @ GW
GW's a pretty solid team, and they're missing their 2nd best player.

RE: UCF @ GW
We expected to lose this game with BJ Taylor out with a broken thumb or something. We're struggling without him.

But the next few teams are so bad we might be able to win without him, and he's supposed to be back for conference play.

Yeah, without BJ in the last 2 games, both teams have been able to just sit in zones and there's nothing we can do to penetrate it. I was hoping we could get by without him and maybe struggle against GW, but I'm not sure we win any of these games without someone that can handle the ball at the point now.

RE: UCF @ GW
This surprised me. Not so much that we won, but the way we won. GW is playing without Yuta Watanabe. And we have an interim coach.

What happened was that a GW player, whose previous high point game was 14 pts, scored 27 points (22 in the second half). GW also hit 40% from 3 and scored 36 points off of 3 pointers. One of the problems teams facing GW have is that GW has 4 players that can burn you from 3. Big players too.

Either way, I think the 'lesson' for UCF is to work on their perimeter defense. Beyond that, I'd chalk this up to having a bad night on the road versus a team that was shooting lights out. Best of luck the rest of the way.

I think the team is just starting to wear down from being so shallow. Tacko wasn't very active on defense and the perimeter defense was non-existent. Basically the team just looked tired.

I think all UCF fans saw this coming, but I'm surprised to see the effects this early.
