IF the AAC added (for sake of argument) BYU, Boise, and Army in fb and WSU in hoops and ESPN would agree to $6mil/year/team in return for a 10year GOR...would you sign it?

Nope. I'd sign a 6 year deal. Gotta be free and clear well before 2024. A 6 year deal gets you free by 2022.

No way. If we can get anywhere near the old big East last contract offer, then yes. I still wouldn't make it for 10 years those. 6 years would be about right become we would likely be worth even more by then

Complete non-starter. It adds nothing. There's nowhere to go until 2024, if ever, and none of the schools would sign beyond that.

What does the GOR do for the networks? Nobody can go anywhere without p5 expansion which is off the table for 9 years.

RE: GOR
1) We (the AAC) already has a ridiculously high "exit fee"... $10 Million just to leave a conference that brings in less than $4 Million/school/year. That's already stupid enough.

2) I don't think the AAC will ever sniff $6 Million. So, keep dreaming.

3) The "Grant of Rights" is probably not an issue because I think realignment is over when it comes to the new divisions in the NCAA... Some realignment will happen in and amongst the "Power Division" of Division 1, but the divide is set. But still, there is no real advantage to ESPN getting a GoR but also no advantage in signing one either. The name of the game going forward is flexibility...and UC is well set for that. Why would we want to tie ourselves down?

Oh, I forgot... Only one opinion is allowed.

Well, hell then. Sure! Let UC step up and sign away it's rights first. Why not?

no, If the deal was for 3 more years and we got 10 mil, Maybe a 6 year Gor, but I doubt even then.

I don't expect that, but wouldn't sign GOR for 6 mil. I also would not add anyone unless it is the difference between getting 6 vs 8 mil

RE: GOR
I wouldn't want my school to sign any GOR that doesn't at least get us half of what the ACC and PAC 12 are getting. And as Attackcoog mentioned, it would have to coincide with or end before the next likely date of realignment.

Someone mentioned we already have a ridiculously high buyout. I don't see a benefit for the networks or us to do a GOR. They have us all stuck together.

The only opinion that matters around here is mine. I'm glad to see that I broke you. Resistance is futile.
