Yes indeed. The pay is not too shabby either at $2 million per team. Thats what it was when it was first introduced. I dont know if it has increased or not. Does anyone know if Canada will coach the team as OC during the bowl?

I agree with you as long as they don't get carried away. I am fine with going to this game this year. However, I don't want this to be something we are relegated to every year due to our geography. We like warm weather too.

I imagine if/when Babers can get Syracuse bowl eligible, the Pinstripe Bowl will be looking to bring the Orange as often as possible.

But yes, the northeast members of the ACC make the Pinstripe Bowl a great addition to the conference bowl lineup. I even think a fanbase like VT would enjoy making the trip to NYC once in a while.

Very true. When the Pinstripe first started they invited Syracuse 2 out of the first 3 years. Syracuse delivered bringing up to 24,000 (estimates) fans to the bowl. Between Syracuse and ND, it seems, when they are not going to a big bowl, the Pinstripe really like those teams, along with Rutgers and Penn State from the BIG. Im thinking Pitt should do well there too.

However, it's my understanding that bowl wants teams which are relatively close - so southern teams, like Georgia Tech this year. The Taxslayer/Gator can flip with the Motor City in any given year.

Remember that for Northern teams, what is considered cold for the locals is pretty balmy weather to us. I just got back from Sarasota this week and a couple of days the temps didnt get out of the 50's. I saw some folks walking around in parkas while we were walking around in long sleeve shirts. My son was walking around in shorts.
