Back to the drawing board for ECU,they stink. Easy win for UNCW.

Two things from tonight:

Front court depth. Ogbodo was a MONSTER tonight. Bryan was effective. Those two guys did a tremendous job stepping up as team players tonight when Cacok needed to be picked up.

Seahawk Digital Network. Aside from Mike Vaccaro (He's great, always has been) absolutely sucks. Whoever that color commentator is with Mike needs to go. All he did was talk ezu up all night. The on court student reporter (assuming she is a student) should learn the game a little... just a little, "There is a plan. As long as they stick to the plan this game should be over soon." Lol, what?

Wait, 3 things.

Ezu sucks.

The guy that does color works FOR ECU during football season. He's been good until now.

I'll give ECU credit, they didn't lose by 20 like they should have. They were completely out gunned from a talent perspective, but still hung with 15 points for the most part.

I agree, he has been decent before tonight but that was piss poor from someone paid to work UNCW games. He needs to be fined or fired.

He's not normally bad. but didn't want the ECU fans to be made at him when they watched the game. He really seems to like hoops/knows it. And, they probably already have somebody besides Jeff Charles (who is very good).

Gaudy numbers for Bryce and Ingram:

Bryce: 25 pts (9-18, 1-6 from 3, 6-10 FT's), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 39 minutes

Ingram: 26 pts (10-17, 6-11 from 3), 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 turnover, 37 minutes


Also, Cacok kept his consecutive FG's streak alive despite the lackluster night plagued by foul trouble. He was 2-2, extending his streak to 17 straight FG's made.

Bryan with 19 minutes and Chuck with 10. Chuck really struggled on the offensive end, but man was he a force on defense. 5 rebounds and 2 tremendous swats in his time on the court.

ECU didn't seem to bother us much at all defensively. If they tried to take us out of our game with zone defense, I didn't really notice it. Bryce drove to the bucket at will while Ingram let loose from deep all night long.

We controlled this game throughout, and as was stated by hoops, it felt like a blowout win.

Was just looking at y'alls schedule on ESPN. Didn't realize you were 11-1!

Well, as long as you're not expecting that record to lead to any love from major sports media markets. They'd rather rank the refs in the top 25.

Sloppy game for the Hawks. Play like that against a decent team and we'll go down.

Far too many stupid fouls on layups we couldn't possibly stop, and going after steals we couldn't possibly get.

If Cacok could have managed 20+ minutes, we'd have won by 25. They had nobody even close to covering him. Also, a decent team would have dunked on Bryan at least 8 times. His rotations were horrible and I was shocked they weren't throwing alley oops to their big men time and time again. Although Chuck brings nothing on offense, he is a factor on the boards and as a rime protector. Not sure how those two can play that much and come away with a combined 1 point.

Bryce is becoming unstoppable. He has such a range of shots available and isn't afraid to get into the paint and then figure out what to do. At 5'10"(if he's lucky), Ingram is ridiculous. Pull up jumpers and 3's in the face of defenders 5 inches taller like they aren't there.

All in all, it was an ugly game yet somehow we managed to score 80. Flemmings and Cacok were almost non-factors. It's no wonder we crush teams when we're firing on all cylinders. Had our game been on, we'd have dropped 100 on these guys. They are awful. I'll be surprised if they win 6 games in their conference.

On to Clemson and Brad Brownell.

Two of the refs were Jamie Luckie and Jerry Heater. I thought Heater may would be the problem. But Luckie called all five fouls on Cacock. He called the T on Cacock for saying "oh my god". I gaurentee that would have never been called on a UNC or Duke player. Bogus call. He single handedly contained Cacock for EZU.

Terrible game for Cacok. Very interesting that the 1 ref called all 5 fouls on him. The fact he picked up the foul and the t right off the bat set the tone for night unfortunately.

We won comfortably despite an overall rough night. Games like this will happen in the CAA
