I guess when you're coaching FAU, you have to take risks on some less desirable players and hope you can keep them out of trouble.

FAU has nothing to lose. Lane was a high risk/high reward. Could end up being a fantastic move for FAU.

Kiffin may be a PJ Fleck for CUSA... then we'll have to start comparing resumes at seasons end, once he runs through those schools like a knife through butter.

Kiffin is a nightmare to any program as head. This is ridiculous.

This signing happened too quickly to not have been pre-determined. Which tells me this was part of his pitch when he interviewed. FAU is going to get what they asked for.

Who knows maybe the kid learned his lesson. He has been punished. If so this could be a very good find for them.

I meant kiffin had this planned for wherever he went and probably pitched it to FAU.

You guys forget how bad FAU was. If Kiffin goes 8-4 there in next two seasons and stays out of trouble he gets a better offer and FAU raises its program. The big gamble is whether the coach and players will explode into bigger out of fields issues. FAU thinks the pluses outweighs the negatives at the point they are now

If Johnson was on the table when Houston interviewed Kiffin, I'm super glad we passed.
Houston has a good succession of QBs... Adding Johnson would have just given our neighbors an opportunity to throw shade on a program that has been doing it the right way.
