'Chemical gas attack' hits IS-held Syrian area
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-38295309

Quote:Dozens of people have been killed in air strikes and a suspected gas attack near the Syrian city of Palmyra, monitoring groups say.

The targeted area is controlled by the so-called Islamic State group and has been under heavy bombardment from government-aligned forces.

Dozens of people are said to have been killed during the combined assaults.

IS members recaptured the city on Sunday, hours after Russian air strikes appeared to have driven them back.

Sources in Hama province reported seeing dead bodies with no visible injuries, according to the UK-based group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The death toll was put at at least 40 by one citizens' group in Hama province.

The Syrian government and its Russian backers have previously denied using chemical weapons.

There is a town in Pennsylvania called Palmyra. Hopefully, it stays safe!

In some ways, you can't help but feel bad for the ME today. Bush and Obama destabilized the ME by taking out a bunch of strongmen, and now groups like ISIS and the old Al Qaeda has filled the voids left behind. Of course, the idiots should move into the 21st century and give up their archaic religious beliefs that are holding them back from living in the world today, but that's another discussion.

Bottom line - these groups are just the latest to use religion to get their followers to be willing to die for "the cause".........what the cause actually is, is just the latest strongman to emerge and become the next Saddam or Gadaffi. They use religion as the catalyst.........one of the few things powerful enough to convince humans to blow themselves up for.........
