Wonder Woman loses job as UN ambassador
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/d...r-equality

“Although the original creators may have intended Wonder Woman to represent a strong and independent ‘warrior’ woman with a feminist message, the reality is that the character’s current iteration is that of a large breasted, white woman of impossible proportions, scantily clad in a shimmery, thigh-baring body suit,” the petition read.

As John Bolton has stated the UN Building needs to have about 10-15 stories removed.

I've read that the creator was a weird guy into bondage..... I don't think the perv had feminism in mind.

Linda Carter actually said they had to design the costume to make her waist look bigger to avoid having even more impossible proportions. So not so impossible.

Hmm... interesting nobody is mentioning this but Lynda Carter's mom was of Mexican decent.

Simply put,, she was/is one of the most gorgeous woman to ever roam the planet.

You know each one of these women would fully prefer some comic book version of a transgendered Muslim from a divorced family with an adopted son in a wheelchair who writes poetry about American imperialism via Twitter as a perfect example of a UN Ambassador for gender equity.

Why is that interesting?

MOST people aren't racist, so this has no meaning to them so they don't bring it up... and to those who ARE racists, they would't be able to admit she was white... OR beautiful... so they won't bring it up.

RE: Wonder Woman loses job as UN ambassador
Quote:The UN has dropped the superhero Wonder Woman as an ambassador for empowering girls and women after a brief stint that drew widespread criticism.

The campaign around the comic book character, who turned 75 this autumn, lasted for less than two months. Among its key aims were challenging female stereotypes and fighting discrimination and violence against women and girls.

There is your problem right there.

No matter who you pick feminists will complain. Pick a chubby, plain-looking woman and they'll complain about stereotypes of feminists not being attractive. Pick an attractive woman and it's "objectification" and "unreasonable body standards".

The whole idea that having some "Strong" female character being a fictional ambassador is going to do anything to get votes for women in developing countries or make another woman CEO in the west is so dumb to begin with. As if anyone pays attention the joke UN in the first place.

Reading this kind of chit is like reading some satirical novel.
