Settle down panama. CincyDave was a poli/sci major and knows as much about football coaching as a ga state fan. In other words not very much. You might want to leave winning football discussions to us folks that know something about it.

Now I'm confused. What does the Moscow, ID info have to do with the hiring of a coach that spent time in Boise?

It doesn't. Too many irons in the fire here. I'd said I thought Sanford's time in a small market like Boise would prepare him to coach at a small market like BG. I had no idea that Boise was the entire population of the state of Idaho. I still contend he knows more what it takes to win in a G5 setup than Ed Warinner from Ohio State would. Ed Warinner interviewed and had more of a shot at the job than Paul Petrino ever did.

CincyDave is probably still hungover from Oktoberfest. He's a good man doe. I'll still have a beer with him down at the White Squirrel the next time he comes down for a game.

TL;DR nothing here.

12-2 and 10-3 the last 2 years makes us not ND. Hell, our 12 wins last year is probably more FBS wins than Ga State has in its entire history.

ND is just one of his stops. We're hiring him for body of work and potential. He'll be the youngest coach in FBS so there'll be growing pains. We know that going in. But we've been doing okay coming off back to back championships.

I'll take our guy over yours any day and I don't really know anything about your guy except the best offer he got was Ga State. That right there ends any argument. Lol.

RE: *OFFICIAL* Mike Sanford New WKU Head Coach
This is cool... I think I like this pick. Every person they hire the past few seems to have roots at WKU or the state of Kentucky. I'm thinking they are hoping someone actually sticks. I like the chances with a younger HC with good memories of starting a family in BG than with a veteran head coach.
