Was a backup QB under OC Chris Petersen, coached under Harbaugh, David Shaw and Brian Kelly, pretty solid resume.

This is the kind of hire I was hoping Stewart would make. I would rather have an up and coming young coach than an older retread with a lot of baggage. Hope it is announced soon.

This might be old news but adding this MSN article that WKU hires Notre Dame assistant Mike Sanford as coach, http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/w...smsnnews11.

Sounds like a great hire. WKU probably won't miss a step in being a leader in the conference and competitiveness.
