RE: KIFFIN to FAU
"I think Kiffin's style of offense will be accepted much better by fans in Boca Raton."
Alabama expectations Goes 12-0 so far wins 1st playoff game 24-7 "Run the damn ball, he sucks"
FAU expectations Wins 8-10 games. Gets statue of him erected next to Schnelly.

Was wondering much the same. Just watched Nick Saban interviewed on this subject. Seems like a risky move for Saban to dismiss Kiffin during the week of the NC game.
I'm not a Kiffin fan per se, but Kiffin called a fantastic offensive game against Washington. Could Saban actually be jealous of the recognition Kiffin is receiving?
Saban and Kiffin never gelled at Bama and I think he wanted to get rid of him sooner (hiring Sark as a backup plan and wanted him out of spotlight for a year before taking over for Lane). I think the poor offensive playcalling vs. Washington and Kiffin going to FAU gave Saban a good excuse to finally just cut ties with him.
I don't know how bad the play calling was vs Washington. I thought there were to many designed QB runs but it wasn't bad playing at all.
This is by far the best D they faced all year and Lane didn't want Jalen to get exposed.
I think Clemson win this week for a couple reasons.
They will not be intimidated by BAMA and have enough experience at QB and weapons where they will score enough points to force Hurts to throw and he might get exposed.

LSU was the best over-all defense they faced all year ...wasn't even close. Washington concentrated all their effort on stopping the QB run, which they did effectively, but LSU's D was better overall.

LSU and Floridas defense are just as good, if not better, than Washington. I just think Lane gets too cute.

I know, it was impressive. But, it was due to the 3 turnovers and a punt return TD. THey had a defensive TD, a 21 yard TD drive, a 0 yard FG drive, etc.
They put up 33 points in the first half with only 2 drives where they actually moved the ball.
