Wait until we begin beating each other in conference and then all this will change

Not looking like a great basketball year for the AAC.

For Memphis, UConn & Tulsa much more is expected. Assuming weak OOC scheduling & weak performance against those schedules the reasons for the poor RPIs.

But enjoy it while you can UCF, it won't last.

Memphis's RPI is due to playing only a single away game and 2 neutral site games in the OOC so far this year. We do have one more away game, plus 3 of the 4 next opponents have records that are 22-5, so thats going to be a big help.

Tulsa is in a big rebuilding year and there's a lot of new guys that are still learning to play with one another. Plus the Haith staff is just now starting to get the classes balanced out from the glut of seniors we had from the Manning years. We knew this would be about a .500 kind of season and that's what we're on pace for. This team could be dangerous by the end of the season though.

Not much difference at all from last year's RPI (SMU was ineligible for post-season), with also 5 teams ranked in Top 60.

2015-2016 Final RPI

13) SMU
32) UCONN
48) Cinci
58) Tulsa
60) Temple
88) Houston
139) Memphis
218) ECU
220) UCF
229) USF
231) Tulane

Doesn't the regular season end next week?

Oh we know...as UCF's 1st conf game will see a large drop in their RPI as UCF opens up the conf season at Tulane.

Still...its good for the conf for teams like UCF to see a nice tick up in their RPI in non-conf play.

I think UCF will do well in league play. Tacko is a much different player this year. Once BJ is back we will be full strength again too. He should be back by conference play.

If uconn was their normal self and Memphis was a normal tourney level team, this would be our breakout year for the league.

That's sort of my point. We need schools to step it up & then sustain it in the AAC year after year.

Thats where conf game schedules help...as it basically means "all" teams will have 9 conf road games coming up.

Its not a given he will be back or even if he is back, would he be close to 100% as UCF has 3 conf games coming up (2 conf home games without students)...starting in just 16 days...probably all "must" wins if UCF is to have a conf AAC Season

Dec 28: @ Tulane

Dec 31: TEMPLE (going head-to-head vs first College Football Playoff Semi-Final)

Jan 3: ECU

Screw the football playoff. The AAC is a basketball conference!

Lebo and Antigua need to go.
Haith and Dunleavy are playing with a big lump of clay.
