Coach has a USA jersey framed obviously sitting there so we can see it. What is it from? Do we have someone competing for the USA lately? I know Kertesz, Shook and Fisher have in the last few years. Who else?

It's a Paul Chelimo jersey. Coach tweeted about getting it last week.

Wish her the best but isn't this a curious recruit for a DI level? She made 3200 Div II podium at state, 8th about half minute off the win and about a min off the Div I win. Her pr in the 1600 would have landed about the same place, but she didn't run that at state. That work ethic is going to have to be pretty special.



Would those 3200 times (11:13) be normal for a DI recruit? Was she off her game? She says she didn't know about Toledo until she got recruited, meaning someone here, reached out? What might they be seeing?

Being reported on twitter that UT freshman Athena Welsh finished 3rd in the steeple at the USA Junior Nationals and will be an alternate on Team USA.

Reportedly tied her PR, while running in 98 degree heat.

Reported on twitter that Petronela Simiuc finished 3rd in the 800 at the recent Romanian national championships, in a school record time.

She followed that up with 3rd place finishes in both the 800 and 1500 this week at the Balkan Games.

Wow! On a number of levels. If I'm reading Maxpreps correctly, these jumps would be among the best HS jumps in the country. Looks like she can step in and score points immediately. Top five in the MAC in both jumps.
