RE: Football Banquet Awards
Why isn't the MVP Award named for someone who actually won it like say, Mo Avery?

It was a wonderful evening. Proud of all the Seniors. Great job by the HH President and those HH members who worked so hard to bring it all about.

And how about my favorite upcoming Tiger, Nehemiah Augustus?!!!! He is a young man with plenty of character and talent and heart and drive.

He should be the permanent captain of the All Name Team, if nothing else.

And I respect your right to have an opinion. I would challenge you to poll the 2005 Senior class, coaching staff and the rest of that squad.

Interesting name....sounds a lot like a former Roman general or emperor.

We may have found another under recruited play maker.

Here is a story on him.

Here is another story on one of his high school games. "Dorceus was more than just a pretty-good option Thursday night. He rushed the ball three times, every one of them for touchdowns. Parker was pleased with the production he got from Dorceus."

Um, Deangelo won it in 2003. And in 2004. And he shared it with Mo in 2005.

I loved Mo. Great player and he did a lot for us in 2005. That's why he shared the trophy with D. But there is no one more deserving than the honor than D. He was a first team All American and set NCAA records. That doesn't happen around here every day.

That squad, staff, and class would vote Deangelo
