Yes, and I thank Nikolaus Otto for inventing it.

Big Oil has had Republican (and Democrat) politicians in their pockets for too long for me not to be wary of them. Like I said, maybe its a good pick, we will find out soon enough.

Right off the bat the lack of diplomatic experience makes me think this is not a good pick. Add that to his relationship with Russia and it's even worse.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

Read up on him first if you do not know who he is. Putin was a former KGB officer under the Soviet Union. KGB officers are known to kill their enemies and all that. Putin had an ex-KGB spy assassinated in London with Poison. Russia government poisoned an ex-leader of the country of Ukraine. Putin right now with Assad of Syria are bombing hospitals and all that killing kids in the country. Putin should be brought up on war crimes since he is a heartless dictator who will kill anybody who gets in his way.

He is killing kids and bombing hospitals in Syria. That is what he always have been, and he will stay the same way. Russia needs a regime change with a much friendlier leader than Putin. They already assassinated his political opponent the year or two back.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties...e_Iraq_War

Various scientific surveys of Iraqi deaths resulting from the first four years of the Iraq War estimated that between 151,000 and over one million Iraqis died as a result of conflict during this time. A later study, published in 2011, estimated that approximately 500,000 Iraqis had died as a result of the conflict since the invasion.

Sounds like Obama's drone policy in Yemen and air strikes in Afghanistan since he "ended" the combat mission.

https://news.vice.com/article/the-un-say...n-al-qaeda

Quote:American drones strikes may have killed as many as 40 Yemeni civilians over the past year, the UN reported on Monday, offering a tally of the human cost of the long-running US campaign against al Qaeda in Yemen, which has continued amid the chaos of country's current war.

The data on drone strikes came from the latest report on Yemen issued by the UN's Office of the High Commissioner For Human Rights (OHCHR), which compiled accounts of human rights violations from July 1, 2014 to June 30 of this year.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/29/politics/u...stigation/

Quote:The Pentagon announced Friday that 16 military personnel will be disciplined for the deadly U.S. strike on a hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, in October, but maintained that it was not a war crime because it resulted from unintentional human error and equipment failure.

The military said some personnel involved "failed to comply with the rules of engagement and the law of armed conflict," and that a general officer was among those facing discipline for their roles in the bombing of the Doctors Without Borders hospital.

they had to discipline for obvious reasons...

let's also not forget how they've learned to use the innocents as shields....

sometimes, there isn't another option when engaging than having to absorb the result of collateral damage...that will never go away during any form of conflict

THAT'S THE CONSEQUENCE OF DECISION MAKING

Anyone with a clue understands that. The even when you take every precaution there is still going to be collateral damage. It's just an aspect of war that you can't control.

I'm guessing the Exxon/Rosneft JV will now be allowed in the Arctic? I know that was a $500 million deal nixed by the Ukraine sanctions.

If that does come into play, and it's Exxon who gets the deal, then even I'll call some shenanigans on this cabinet posting.

Again, I don't have a problem with Tillerson himself. You've got to be able to pull deals and agreements to hold the position, and you've got two options... Good businessmen or politicians.

And no matter who it is, they're gonna come under scrutiny regardless.

I also don't have a problem with him and his resume getting that job. I just remember this is out there.
