They had to use debunked methods to show higher temperatures last year, using measurements on ocean going ships which get distorted by the ship's engines.

Fact is that there has been a short term blip in the longer term warming trend and the faithful have been distorting data and using fake news to try to ignore facts.

They try to blame every short term weather pattern on global warming.

The fact that the scientists do this totally discredits them. If they were honest, they would simply say the trend is not a straight line upwards. And they would say weather is variable. But they aren't honest. They have "faith" and ignore any data that doesn't correspond with their climate change religion.

These true believers are barely more credible than CNN on the election. They have no intellectual integrity.

Okay, for sake of argument, I'll give you that the earth is warming. I reserve the right to revisit that later, but right now, to get this conversation over the hump, I'm stipulating that. Now explain to me why we have to close every coal-fired plant in the US and why we can't build the XL and Dakota Access pipelines. What will those things accomplish that will justify the short-term negatives?
