DeFilippo is often credited with kickstarting Derek Carr’s development in Oakland, and when the Eagles brought DeFilippo in, the idea was he would do the same with Carson Wentz.

DeFilippo was born in Ohio, but he spent his high school days at local Radnor High School as his father worked as Villanova’s athletic director.
