Can he sit on the perimeter, and hit open shots? Sure, but I didn't see much else. It's his 10th collegiate game and I've seen him play less than 30 minutes. Who knows?
I have seen a ton in high school and he can play and he can create for others and himself.
Now that is funny coming from the very same guy that says what they did in high school really doesn't mean anything until they get on the college floor. #neverforget
Perfect fit for a Brownell system? He needs to add about 30 pounds to be useful in a system like that.
That is exactly how I see it with Gensler,he needs to get stronger but he can play and the BIg South is a good place for him. He is tough kid that knows how to play the game and will improve as he gets more mature. Wainwright and Brownell had guys like him that they developed into very good players as they got to be Jr,Sr players. He could play in the CAA but it would be later on for him.

I'm hoping our big freshman is another Callahan in the making.

Callahan is perhaps the most underappreciated player in Dub history. Loved that guy and Oleg Kojenets.
Here's a fun look back at November 1999:

"I don't think we'll be picked very high," Wainwright said. "I think some people may be surprised by the end of the season by how we're playing."

Vlad Kuljanin was Gustys before there was a Gustys. Another underappreciated players. Unstoppable in the post and an under rated passer.

"Brett can really, really shoot. I think he'll be the best long-range shooter I've coached."
Wow, it's hardly ever a coach hits the nail on the head that hard with a HS kid.

You confuse "fact" with "opinion" in about 75 % of your posts. It's pretty humorous. Very little of what you bring to the table are "facts".

Its all based on opinion in case you missed out on that part of player evaluation.I have seen this kid play quite a bit in high school playoffs last year and AAU. This is not rocket science and after you have seen so many players over a 45 year period it gets pretty easy to see if a kid just gets the game or not.
The Campbell staff likes Gensler and he gets a lot of PT for a reason. He will be a solid player baring injury.
NOt sure why you choose to rag on every thing I post but you seem like a guy with common sense-maybe just a flat out hater of the Mullet?

I liked Vlad, a lot. But he couldn't hold Gustys's jock! Gusty's is a way more complete player and his done it for a much larger portion of his college career.

I liked Vlad a lot and he was money at the free throw line. I ran in a 5K race downtown that Vlad was also in,he ran a time somewhere around 19 minutes. That is pretty damn fast for a guy that size. He played basketball in Europe fro a long time.

Vlad played when the CAA was far superior to today, and he was almost as dominant in the post. In fact, he was eating up GW in the NCAA tournament, and for some reason we stopped going to him and suffered a catastrophic meltdown. Had we kept pounding it to him in the post, we'd have won going away.

Vlad was pretty good, but not as good as that guy at Hofstra-Gustys. He's very talented. We had another one also in..."The Big O". Remember him?

Correct, but, he didn't develop into that until Jr, Sr year. Gusty's has been at it for a while.

Vlad had a good offensive game but was not very good on the defensive end. Oleg was a great story and he could certainly run a 18 min 5K,

I like your name "Dash Rip Rock". Wow...the Beverly Hillbillies was the BEST! The way that Jethro was allowed to expand his character was tremendous. Great show!
Yep, the Big O was good to have as well as Victor Ebong and Marcus Green from Christian Academy. Good bigs and good guys!

I had my players mixed up-it was Oleg that ran in the race. That was a good while ago and he was flying.
