Two active EMU NFL running backs. Impressive, will Shaq Vann be next?

Time for the Lions to sign him.

There is no quota of only one EMU RB in the NFL. 03-lmfao

Agree would fit perfectly with the depleted Lions RB stable.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat.

Jackson claimed on waivers by Cleveland today. I don't have a doubt he'll have a shot at the two-deep on someone's roster in the next year or two.

That's a nice indication of his perceived value in the NFL - 1st team eligible to pick him up did so. Hope he gets some carries yet this year.

No surprise. If my team had a bad record and preference on a waiver claim, I'd take him in a heart beat.

@AdamSchefter: Browns claimed promising rookie RB Darius Jackson on waivers one day after Dallas released him to make room for Darren McFadden, per source.

Well thought of enough for Shefter to call him a promising rookie

In the video, a reporter asks him about playing at WMU.
Darius politely lets him finish and then says he went to EMU.

Darius goes on to plug the Bahamas Bowl and indicates he heard 12 claims were put in for him.

He is back in "MAC Country".

Classy young man. Interesting that he goes from a super bowl contender to a possible 0- 16 team. At least he should get an opportunity to play.

Exactly. He would have never been 'the man' in Dallas behind Elliott, so at least he'll get an opportunity in Cleveland.

Average NFL career barely 3-4 years, so it's all about getting in the right situation and making the most $$$$$ possible as quickly as possible. One of the most cut throat, high risk, occupations on the planet. Doubt he has much concern about what team he's on, as long as he's on a roster, getting paid, with a legitimate opportunity to stick around.

Hope he is the exception, rather than the rule, and has a 10 year career!

Great kid, who was always very humble, and welcoming, even to the freshmen from the minute they stepped on campus.
