...phew. It's sad when you look up a major news channel and you have no idea if you're being lied to or not. People are forming bad opinions based on dishonest sources.

Someone on his transition team said he'd work on the show on his spare time in an interview with CNN, so no, it wasn't fake news. Just cluelessness from Trump's staff.

LOL, it's quintessential fake news.
In journalism, you don't just take what 1 person says and run with it as the complete and utter truth. You confirm it with multiple sources and make sure you're right. The CNN reporter probably didn't feel the need to, because they were too giddy to portray Trump in (what they think is) a negative light. Now they get to enjoy the egg on their face.
