Probably not today, but maybe before the end of the year.
14th record high since 11/8.
So much winning.

RE: Will the Dow hit 20,000 today?
Probably won't because Trump is President-Elect. I mean we've seen a clear pattern of investment losses since November.

I knew it was gold. John was so excited it looked like the market was going take a huge loss because of Trump winning. Funny how he hasn't posted about the record highs the market has hit daily since the election. #winning

He really does need to man up and do that. Funny how he is completely absent on that, especially after being so quick to pull the trigger the night of the election.

Couldn't care less about the stock market. It was way overpriced as it was.

RE: Will the Dow hit 20,000 today?
This isn't something to be cheered when taken into the broader context of the economy. We've had over a half decade of FREE MONEY handed out to banks through quantitative easing. Interest rates are as low as they can go without putting hard strain on the dollar itself. The banks can take the free money and reloan it at 5 times the rate they borrowed it at. It's no wonder this has been a time of booming business for banks and we've set records for numbers of days without a loss at several major banks.
The Federal Reserve, the statists who depend upon it to finance their big government, and the crony capitalists that have attached themselves to it have used monetary policy to send capital and assets scrambling into non-liquid investment sources. Stocks. Banks. Real estate. Nobody wants to leave money sitting in a savings account collecting 0.3% interest when inflation is MORE THAN TEN FOLD HIGHER than that. This policy does not come without a cost. It is really hurting those who have saved and especially those on fixed income (social security, pension). Combine this terrible policy with the ObamaCare squeeze and we're really really REALLY putting a hurting on the bottom half of the middle class and retirees.
Those giant, quite literally inflated, stock figures are paid for with the blood, sweat, and tears of an evaporating middle class.

In a sense, they'll be correct. Obama has been terrific for banks and the industry oligarchy in general. He's been terrible for competition and manufacturing.
