Dang, isn't he only a sophomore? Did he redshirt a year?

And I don't think he'll transfer. Combination of wanting redemption for this year and his dad keeping him around. Unless he really doesn't like being coached by dad, I think he stays.

Year 1 was a grey shirt (Cincinnati let him out of his scholarship right before the start of his freshman year). Year 2 was a redshirt. So, yes he is a fourth year Sophomore.

If he wanted to transfer, there is a school in Baton Rouge with an extremely talented receiving corps, a ridiculous offensive line, and a stable of runningbacks. I loathe everything piss and purple, but if you want to be surrounded by NFL talent and be able to walk into a chance to start if you're halfway competent (he is), then there is not a better spot in the country.
Daddio could even tag a long and get a little raise as they will most likely drop 1- 1.5 MM on their new OC.

So Brent will, indeed, be a couple of months older his senior year

He didn't enroll as a full time student until January so his clock didn't start until the year after he graduated high school.
