Definitely. I am critical of him, though. Not because he's a Republican (or is he?), but because I think he's an idiot. He's the self-aggrandizing, loud guy in the room that gets ahead in the business world because they keep the spotlight on themselves. He's not intelligent in the way that Bill Clinton, Obama, and Bush Sr. were, and he doesn't seem like a good guy in over his head the way W. did. I'm honestly hoping my impressions of him are wrong.

And you know this how?

Not sure how you come to that conclusion then. I mean, the man is a billionaire and just won the unwinnable election. Seems pretty damn smart to me.

The 67% are correct when you count all the able bodied people who are not working instead of just going with the government propaganda number, i.e. you should look at U6

40% believe Trump won the popular vote
When felons and illegals can vote with no repercussions, who knows, but it is likely Hillary won on a "national" level, i.e. a meaningless moral victory.

60% believe "illegals" voted for Hillary
This is 100% true, but I'm sure some illegals also voted for Trump. How many is what matters and no one really knows.

73% believe George Soros pays people to protest Trump
100% factually correct, this should be common knowledge.

29% believe California votes should not count
California should secede.

59% believe Trump should not release his taxes
Doesn't matter one iota.

This is what they mean when they talk about Trump supporters as being the uneducated white vote.

I thought it was fun. But seriously, I would say for a majority of posters on here, there is literally nothing that Trump could do that they would second guess. They're so sold on the image of Trump that his actions are a distant second, at best.

Like I said before, not everything he does is outrage worthy. However, if eyebrows aren't raising even the tiniest bit at some things, I'd classify it as fanaticism. The question is how long the honeymoon lasts.

Oh, I don't believe that for a second. There were many on here who weren't on the Trump train at all until he was made the nominee.

Now I think most are simply hoping he's successful, as I'm sure you do as well, correct?

I was never on the Trump train and I could find dozens of posts saying just that. I know I posted that it Trump happened to win, we were all fu**ed. But I hated Hillary. (I voted for McMullin.)

I also posted that my hope was that the Republicans held the Senate so that "when" Hillary won, she'd be somewhat limited.

However, the reality is that Trump is going to be the President. Now I don't agree with him on everything (I support free trade) but I like his cabinet picks and think he will do some good things for the country. And at a minimum, he'll be the one nominating Supreme Court justices; not Hillary.

But at least right now, I'm enjoying the consternation on the left. I love watching the proggies whine and complain. I hope they are all miserable.

He may well be a boor at times, that's well documented, but I wouldn't say he's an "idiot". He's got the schooling/education and he's clearly done pretty well for himself and whoooooole lot of people around him.

In fact, that "idiot" could one day run and win an election to be President of the United States.

I'm talking about when you listen to the man speak, he does not seem intelligent or learned. Now he may be a great salesman, and there's a mountain of evidence for that. Now that the sale is made, however, I have a difficult time seeing him making the hard decisions in an informed, methodical way.

That definitely helped get Trump some votes in this election.

I agree.... and yet they're STILL at it???

(12-09-2016 02:35 PM)Machiavelli Wrote:  Which part of what I said is not true?

Actually, NONE of it.

HALF of it is pure speculation on your part, and the other half, like the OP is based on a false presumption from the start. You define 'crony capitalism' and 'free markets' and 'economic interests' in whatever way you see fit, without regard to what those people's actual definitions are... and you equate them. If we define them differently, then they aren't the same... and we do. There are a dozen threads trying to equate the carrier deal to something trump spoke against, ignoring the clear differences between a carrot alone, and a carrot WITH at least the threat of a 'stick'.

It's no different than the OP asking about a 'national popular vote' which NEVER took place... thus you have defined it in such a way to elicit a split vote, depending on how people choose to engage with the intentionally biased/opinionated premise that such a vote DID take place.... or by defining 'unemployment' as 'the reported unemployment rate' which isn't the same thing as whether or not more people are no longer working.

The left treats this country like we're the pretty girl who for some reason feels ashamed about being pretty... and they're so desperate to be accepted for something OTHER than their looks that they don't bathe and wear ugly clothes and then get depressed and feel like they have to 'put out' to get a date.... so the boys all treat them like sluts... when the REALITY is that all they have to do is take a bath and the boys would still be lining up... WITHOUT having to put out. Rather than desperately beg to be seen as 'smart', despite being pretty... you can just pick and choose those who treat you with respect from the start... and tell those who don't to eff off. Yeah, they might call us a '*****' for that... but we really shouldn't care what boys who are only interested in a one-way relationship think about us, should we?

What do/would you teach your daughter about that?

Just because you are rich doesn't mean you are smart. Look at Kanye West.
