Just like keenum not winning the heisman.

It was a snub. I know why he didn't win, I just disagree with it.

I agree, P5 BS. CUSA alone had 5 receivers who had better stats than Austin Carr who was one of the finalist. Zay Jones won this award hands down, it was all for second place.

Zay had double the catches and more yardage. Westbrook had more TDs but he played on a better team with more scores. Also, the Big12 competition and the AAC are not as far off as people think. Zay also played well at USC, Va Tech, and NC State. He also did it without many other playmakers on offense to help get him open. The QB situation wasn't near what Westbrook enjoyed.

It's bias IMO. The issue is where that bias comes from. It could be because of the types of receivers they are. It could be because he was P5 vs G5. It could be because Oklahoma gets better exposure than ECU. It could be because of our record.

Westbrook had more meaningful receptions (averaged 20 yds per catch...and every 4.6 catch went for a TD for this P5 Conf Champ).

Jones had more dink/dunk non-meaningful receptions (11 yds per catch and every 20th catch went for a TD for this 3-9 (1-7) team.


Jones had a great year...but sadly, not many of his receptions went for scores nor did most of them go for a lot of yardage either while his team had a terrible season.

You could say that, but you'd be a liar. Dede Westbrook faced 1 top 50 passing defense all season and had 5 catches. Zay faced four and averaged 14.
