Go Punch a Kangaroo
Just thought I would add something interesting to today's conversations/topics...

That guy is brave. Full grown kangaroos are dangerous.

I liked the fact the guy put his dukes up like they are about to throw down.

If you notice at the end he goes for his knife as it looks the roo may come at him.

RE: Go Punch a Kangaroo
From what I've read some folks were saying the Kangaroo was "hugging" the dog. I'm gonna call BS on that. From what I've ready Kangaroos can disembowel a dog/animal/human in no time flat. But yeah, the look on the Kangaroo's face after getting punched was rather funny. The human is lucky he didn't get jacked.

Yeah, the animal guy from Zoo Miami said that it looked like they were playing because a dog in that situation would be at an advantage. Holding the dog like that takes the kangaroo's legs out the equation and its arms aren't strong enough to hold a dog defending itself.

BTW, I like how you capitalized kangaroo like it was a title. We should give it to somebody in the Spin Room.

The guy who punched the kangaroo to save his dog was on a hunting trip with a dying friend. He also is an elephant keeper at a zoo and believe it or not, the zoo is considering taking action against him for punching the kangaroo.

Watch it again, especially the slow motion part. Roos legs are in play when using arms to hold the dog. Prior to the video the dog might have already been injured.

It's not me that said it. It was Ron McGill of the zoo in Miami.

My parents had their honeymoon in Australia. My mother held a Koala Bear, said that they had the sharpest claws.

That guy was damn lucky he was not injured from the giant rat. I would've taken a hand gun out to deal with the roo to save my dog. Check out the video from about the 2:10 mark to see what they are capable of...

Nope, apparently Kangaroos are known to kill dogs in Australia. That was more of a choke than a "hug", IMO.

Yep, only other animal I've known to take out a dog is a raccoon. In fact, I think raccoons actually enjoy drowning dogs.
