RE: Bracketology
MTSU is getting shafted. They were a competitor last year and they brought a lot back to build off of, yet still no love?

They got a big game at VCU on saturday that will be a big test for them

They're getting beyond shafted and honestly, that upset me more than us losing a vote and having zero.

RE: Bracketology
This early in the season, bracketology is all about who gets respect. And you can clearly see what kind of teams get little to none.

This. Exactly. It's not about the accuracy. It's about the respect and base knowledge or lack thereof concerning our program.

History matters, otherwise we'd be betting on Northwestern, William & Mary, and Maine to make the tournament and for Nebraska to advance past the first round. USC might overcome their history and get a bid. If so, they would be a good first round opponent for UNCW because none of the current Gamecocks have any NCAA Tournament experience.

BUMP---- This was the thread i was referring too, eat crow boys, eat crow ! :)

But they couldn't beat Clemson at home. That's all I care about. Otherwise, good luck to them.

RE: Bracketology
If you had bet against USC winning a tournament game, you'd have 43 years of winnings in the bank. That's better than Lunardi's vaunted winning %.

Like I said in an earlier thread, USC lost 5 of their last 7 SEC games, suspended Thornwell for 6 games in the mid-season, and Coach Martin would not allow CBS to film his team's reaction to the selection show do to his fear they would be overlooked. Those are not omens of success. Those events happened after my post about USC.

The Tournament is a crapshoot. USC looks great now. That was not the case in February.
