Cincy - Houston - USF Coaching Jobs
how would you rank these jobs?

Houston is the clear #1 currently but I think you could debate Cincy-USF bc of the Financial support, fan support, OCS, etc.

The Devry job is open. I heard Montgomery had interest in the past. They may be out a coach.

Who ever wrote that crap has obviously never toured Nippert stadium or Cinci facilities, not to mention the difference in budgets.

Maybe Frank Solich would consider a lateral move from Athens to retire @ UC.

you've been really good at trolling UC but you are starting to overplay your hand...you do that and you lose the troll edge...

Houston is the clear #1 currently but I think you could debate Cincy-USF bc of the Financial support, fan support, OCS, etc.

Houston may be ahead with financial support.... USF I think may be more attractive because of the team that the coach will inherit. I think theres a clear top 2, with Cincy being looked at as a rebuilding.
Temple is right there too. That school is becoming more of a "football" school instead of only being known as a bball school.

To me, I have no idea what Temple is doing. Schiano is such an obvious candidate. The guy made Rutgers into a very good Big East team each year and hes gotten even better. He knows how to recruit that area.

USF it couldnt be more obvious that Strong is our guy. Hes a Florida man. Hes recruited florida for nearly 20 years, has family in the bay area and his style would slide right in to what Taggart left.

Houston.... I am actually surprised they havent looked harder at Miles. Hes open to a new type of offense, his defenses were solid and the guy recruits the entire south... and that big damn Champ ring looks real nice on his hand. They could keep Applewhite and have him "update" miles offense. Its a winning formula.

Cinci... thats tough, cause its a total rebuild. Some say Kiffin, but hes an opportunist and unproven. I actually think if they are gonna dip into the alabama coordinator arena that Cristobal would be a better fit. Hes a hard worker, recruits well and is young enough that he is looking to make a name. His time down at FIU (or was it FAU) was actually rather good. He was turning it around and if given another year or two, they would have been clicking. His firing was personal, not because of performance. Another thought is Al Golden. Miami is a tough job to win and Golden did a damn fine job at Temple. Hes a good guy and a good coach.

Why the hell would we look at Schiano over Les Miles? Schiano would be such an uninspired hire.

Why do you consider Cincinnati a total rebuild. A good coach has Cincinnati back to 6-6 next year and challenging for the league the next year.
