FAU fans - a question
I'm flying in on the morning of the 20th for the bowl and will have some time to kill in Boca Raton, so what's the scoop of what restaurants, bars or other distractions would be a good way to kill an afternoon? thanks in advance

RE: FAU fans - a question
So many options in Boca itself, and in nearby Delray Beach (Atlantic Avenue) it would take a huge page to link.

Mizner Park (Shops, Food, nice walking) https://www.miznerpark.com/en.html
Gumbo Limbo (Live Sea turtles, Mangrove walk) http://www.gumbolimbo.org
Morikami Park (Japan themed gardens) http://morikami.org
Flannignans (Nice Local chain watering hole) https://www.flanigans.net/
La Spadas (Best Hoagies around ) http://www.laspadashoagies.com/
Cuban Cafe (Good Cuban food) http://cubancafe.com/
Downtown Delray (Shops, Food, etc) http://www.downtowndelraybeach.com/

So many more that I cant even list them. But that is a pretty good variety of things to do that are fairly unique and close to Boca.

Those are all excellent choices but don't limit our visitor to just Boca and Delray. At least, include Deerfield, with its tourist-friendly fishing marina and all manner of golf courses and beaches in Delray-to-Deerfield stretch, etc.

And, if the visitor has access to transportation, one should suggest anywhere from West Palm Beach to Miami.

V&S blows La Spadas out of the water.

There is so much to it honestly just depends what your age is and what you are looking to do.

How about a good, but reasonably priced golf course? Driving down Monday and hoping to get a round in Tuesday morning!

Offsprey point is in west Boca but this is a great Crouse
call ahead they get pretty booked this time of year.

I don't know how serious you are, but there is fun Par three course Red Reef and it's right on the ocean.

Southwinds out west is also solid.

Osprey is a great public course. Got plenty of plenty of places around/near the mall(just down Glades Road from FAU) like Blue Martini, Capital Grill, Rocco's Tacos, Hooters. I've always wanted to do a pub crawl starting at the Bull Bar in Delray and work my way down Atlantic Ave to Boston's On the Beach. Several Casinos(Hardrock, Isle, Seminole) in the area(within 25 minutes). Charters, Drift(party) boat, and Pier fishing close by. Whale's Rib, Flannigan's, Rebel House, Dubliner, Charm City Burger(get a Big Sloppy), La Spada's-all know me too well. Steaks $$$-$$$$ NY Prime, Morton's, and Ruth Chris. If you do go to Delray Beach and are a pinball fanatic, check out the Silverball Museum.

Btw, I drove by the Owls' Stadium around 3pm not much happening right
now, but at least the grass was cut.

I like the Flanigans on Deerfield beach when I come to town.
