Also, not sure why this one is getting reported as the lowest attendance when the 2009 ACCCG in Tampa was even lower.

Guess who was in that edition? Clemson and Georgia Tech.

If by "attendance" they mean "tickets sold" instead of "butts in seats," then they should say that. But hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a good narrative.

Personally, I would've tried to go in Charlotte but not Orlando. Even given the ridiculously low ticket prices ($9 to $11 the day before the ACC CG), the trip was simply too far and would've taken too long by car... and with 2 children I can't just throw around air fare.

This. When ACC-CG tickets are cheap on the secondary market, I'll go to the game even if GT isn't playing. I've been twice now without GT playing.
