Replacements
So with UH, Cincy, Temple, and possibly USF (hopefully that's all) conducting coaching searches this offseason... what names would the fans of those schools like to see?

We already know Kiffin has some traction at UH. Haven't heard a peep from Cincy yet.

RE: Replacements
Cincy: Fleck and Strong make sense... although Strong should just coach for $1 and allow Cincy to hire quality assistants.

Texas would start legal proceedings faster than you can say "hook'em" in that situation.

I personally would be fine with either, as well as Jason Candle at Toledo and Lincoln Riley.

God I hope Lincoln doesn't get a job in this league. He deserves it but I really don't feel like getting whipped by him.

This man would likely pick up the phone if Houston, Cincy, or Temple called...

He's an ECU alumnus. He's probably waiting for the ECU job to open after Compher and Mo implode (which is a good bet).

I'd love to land Fleck, but.... 03-puke

I can't see Coombs being a legitimate contender. That just has to be Colerain fans on twitter and the window-lickers in the Cincinnati media throwing his name around as usual, right? If I remember correctly, they also tried to push for him when Kelly and Butch left.

The guy has been a position coach in the college ranks for 10 years, and beside moving from UC to OSU, he hasn't shown any desire to advance within the ranks. His name has never been brought up for a coordinator position anywhere and I'm not aware of a single FCS or MAC level schools showing interest in him as a head coach. I may be mistaken, but I believe he even had responsibilities taken away from him at OSU in recent years. He seems to be there for recruiting purposes and to be a gloried cheerleader on the sidelines.

So glad all the main P5 programs that were considering firing their coaches, did it this year, and didn't wait. This hopefully gives us at least a few more years with Frost. I am now the biggest Nebraska fan...... lol.

RE: Replacements
Good coaching single most important factor when it comes to winning in college football. IF AAC can land good names this cycle we will officially become a league that is branded as respectable for household name coaches. We also officially pull away from other G5 leagues. AAC is proving that be launching pad for P5 coaching hopes.

We considered him before deciding to hire Norvell. I have a feeling we will be looking again in another year or two.
