Stats after 8 games
Three things look apparent to me:

1) It will be an 8 man rotation for the most part given the games played and minutes breakdown.

2) Rykhoek, Rivers and Kessee are going to have to get much better in certain apsects if this team is going to have a chance to surprise - if not, it will be just an average season, which most expected anyway.

3) Clergeot and Jake could usurp the 8 spot or give Tubby the ability to expand the rotation, but it would take steep improvement at this point.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...s/_/id/235

PS - if Azab is eligible and can run the court twice without falling over, it will help this frontline - Rivers is gimpy thin and Rykhoek is a foul a minute.

Jake has no shot

If he plays significant minutes we are in deep you know what

Agree.

But, that 8 spot is very shaky...hell, 7 may be as well.

Kesse has shown signs of life as of late.

Not a good ball handler

KJ may have to be a defacto point forward for this team

We don't have a PG type ball handler yet (Martin will get there; may be next season) but if you are implying KJ could run a half court offense or break a press then.......

He can be a facilitator

He's a good passer

If you actually went to games you'd see this

But once again all you do is whine and argue

RE: Stats after 8 games
I've seen Dedric bring the ball up and he can look over the press/defense.

It's effective in spurts.

The problem isn't that the Tigers don't have an elite ballhandler, though I will admit that would help a lot.

The problem is dribbling right into a trap at halfcourt/sideline.

Boggles the mind that they are still doing this.

Old habits are hard to break

I blame the coaching going back to Jr high level

Combine that with AAU ball and you get bad habits

Too many games and not enough practice time going way back

I'm hoping by January Tubby can fix some of this

Many times, after DL inbounds the ball after the opponent scores, he winds up getting a pass back from the guards.

But the pass is backwards to him just as he is approaching the mid court line. Most of the time he just barely crosses the line before receiving the backward pass.

BTW, same thing last year.

Some official is going to be alerted to that and is going to start calling that as a turnover

IF you know anyone who coaches, ask them about KJ playing point whatever you are trying to say. Ask Todd day who coached him in high school.

Ask anyone who really knows basketball.

Once again, how do you know who goes to games? Please answer this.
