Three years of CFP/NY6
Three years into this format, one full cycle, and here is how the appearances in the CFP and NY6 measure by conference.

Code:
Conf   CFP   NY6
B1G    3       9
SEC    3       7
ACC    3       6
P12    2       5
B12    1       5
G5     0       3
IND    0       1

From the ACC's perspective, a solid performance. In the CFP every year, with a second team in the NY6. Trailing the B1G and SEC, but ahead of both the B12 and P12 in both measures.

Yeah the B1G made up some ground this year with 4.

So I have an idea for the ACC and SEC.

Just have the bottom 4-5 of our conferences throw every game in conference after winning their OOC games. They can buff up the middle teams and make them look better. Then when the top of the conference beats them they'll be better wins. That's the formula for 3-4 top 10 teams. If the conference as a whole is competitive it screws you.

Weren't all of the Big 10's wins against the top 10 against each other? I think the marquee OOC victory was Ohio State blowing out Oklahoma.

That might work, but competitors hate throwing games.

How about this: let's have the ACC and SEC team up to beat the daylights out of those Big Ten teams!

I doubt that the B1G would accept those games.

Impressive considering alot here predicted the new playoff and bowl deals a 'death knell' for ACC.

Yep, plus the end of the refrain after the first two years "A one-loss ACC team will never make the playoff!"

Also, the five teams in the top 25 is the most ACC teams yet in the three years final playoff polls.

How about FSU losing 3 games, all in conference, yet still ranked #11?

Or we could band together with the Big 12, trade ND, Syracuse, and BC for Nebraska, and then hold down everywhere in the entire country where CFB is the top sport. Then it doesn't matter what the B1G and Pac-12 do ... they'll be demographically doomed. Then we can keep all the meainingful spoils for ourselves in another few decades. 05-stirthepot
