I am glad we have the extra time to get ready for Air Force's offense.

This is a tough matchup for us. Triple option offense for the Falcons. I'm looking for demonstrable improvement on defense against the option.

South Alabama headed to Arizona Bowl
I'm glad jags made a bowl, just not sure about being in this one but we should have done better. Arizona is going to packed with the playoff game around that time. We need the extra weeks on practice to work on things for next season. I hope we can sell a decent amount of tickets so it won't hurt us next time we are bowl eligible. Far as the triple option, We can pretend it was ghosts of Georgia southern past and the several times we played navy. Just don't think we can score enough.

Are there any teams here not bowling that might could come over and run the TO against our D?

Asking for a friend.

Hopefully your fan base will buy tickets even if they don't plan to attend. Many others have worked with a local charitable organization to donate them to the needy or military members.

You can buy them and leave them at Will Call under the name Any Veteran as well.
That's what I did.

Only bad thing is that I am pretty sure I just bought tickets for people who will be cheering against my team.
But oh well.
Maybe they will get tricked into a U-S-A! chant.

I will probably buy some and put them up at will call too. I'm glad the game will be on WJTC 44 for the local Mobile, AL crowd.

Hey guys. Here some general info about the bowl and some of the events. More is discussed during the q&a.
The stream on campus insiders will have refs wearing go pro cameras and also provide a 360 view and VR.

Great move. Showing a high degree of sportsmanship and Christian charity.

If they're like I was, they will be deployed or on leave for the first time in a year. Time will tell. Get 'em.

A look at attendance numbers for each game played in the 2016 bowl season so far. #NOVAAZBowl currently at 31,000

I took a look at the S. Alabama side and there are quite a few seats bought. 31k tickets bought so far and still getting purchased. Perhaps USA fans are making a trek to Tucson? Having the bowl way after Christmas certainly helps.
Having good participation by both conferences will really help this get to be a premier bowl down the road. Tucson is rolling out the red carpet and putting out all the stops for the teams.

http://tucson.com/sports/local/tucson-ta...26ef74462a

Two resorts — Westin La Paloma and the J.W. Marriott Starr Pass — will again host the two teams. If the experience was anything like last year’s, it’ll be a hit.
“The Nevada coach last year, Brian Polian, came up to us and said the VIP was as good as any BCS bowl game,” Farhang said. “Utilizing the best of Tucson was really important.”

31,000 is great but I'm guessing around 200 tickets have been sold by South. And that may be high. But I'm glad the players, coaches, band, etc get to travel to Tucson. Was hoping to take the family out there but flights out of Mobile/Gulfport/New Orleans were crazy high
