Didn't see that, which post #??

Doesn't seem likely, unless you predicted it after the fact, as it would completely nullify your working hypothesis going into the final CFP ranking "PSU can't pass Washington, because it can't pass Michigan". And that hypothesis was proven false, as it did pass Michigan.

In this thread, I said PSU would have a tough time getting past Michigan, but would expend all their arguments doing so:

"So PSU's problem is to get to Washington, you first need to get past Michigan. And with that whopping H2H loss to Michigan, that is going to be tough. Michigan is effectively buffering the B1G champ from Washington. You might expend all your arguments getting past Michigan, but there's little chance you get past Washington."

That was posted after Washington won the PAC title game but before the B1G title game was played, so the B1G champ was unknown.

After the B1G title game but before the CFP voted, I picked it all correctly. Here was my prediction less than an hour before the CFP voted (from the "who is your CFP4" thread).

1) Alabama
2) Clemson
3) Ohio State
4) Washington

Other NY6 bowls:

Rose: Penn State vs USC
Orange: FSU vs Michigan
Sugar: Auburn vs Oklahoma
Cotton: WMU vs Wisconsin

I said their second half was a dominating performance. Which it was, 24-3.

It sounds like your hypothesis was that those advocating for Penn State "ran out of gas" getting past Michigan, and thus didn't have enough left in the tank to get past Washington.

That sounds like it could be valid, to us people who have no knowledge of what actually happened in the room.

But on the other hand, it's just as valid to claim that Penn State was unanimous ahead of Michigan without much discussion, but that the room split on if Penn St or Washington should be #4.
