I've been wanting to play Memphis for some time now, maybe this game can jump start a series of some type, both schools are too close not to be playing. Really curious everybody's take on the this game. All Memphis/AAC fans are welcome.

Maybe a basketball series too.

With the new WKU basketball hire and hopefully improved recruiting and team, that would be nice. It would get nice travel from each set of fans if scheduled correct and a fun series. I like the way you think

We are down right now too. Who cares. Make it a Saturday so opposing fans can travel. Would be nice to have an OOC game with some atmosphere.

I could see a football series happening - but I remember when he was the uk coach, Tubby putting down a potential WKU uk series with, "Why would I schedule Western and get my @as beat?"

Looking forward to a whole lot of offense! I haven't seen much of y'all this year but will look up some games between now and Dec 20.

Unfortunately this will be a lot like the Little Caesars Bowl. If the coach leaves it'll be dejecting and tough to prepare properly. If the coach stays should be a great game and I think we would win.

We played the toughest schedule in the AAC, playing all top 5 in conference teams and going 2-3. We beat champion Temple and Houston. We've been inconsistent to say the least. We know what it's like to go bowling without a head coach or much of a staff and it wasn't pretty. I hope JB stays on and isn't distracted so we get what could be a great game. Should be an entertaining game for sure. If JB stays I like our chances, if he goes, well... let's just say I would lose confidence.

I would love to see a series started with you guys in football and basketball. Much respect for the Tigers. I used to live in Jackson, TN (my wife is from there) and the western part of TN has a lot of Memphis fans. I am hoping we can wrench parts of KY away from the cayuts at some point.

Haha...I live in Nashville. I will make the drive either way.

What size crowd will Memphis bring? I'm guessing 4-6k from WKU. I figured 5-8k from Memphis?

me + 2! We're driving down on Monday, play a little golf Tuesday morning, then pre-game festivities; victory party that night, then drive home Wednesday!! What a fun whirlwind!!

Me + 1 will be in Orlando until the 18th. We changed our return flight to the 21st so we can rent a car, drive down to Boca, enjoy the beach, game and festivities, and then head back home. There's a group of at least 6 students/young alumni that will be driving down and joining us.

I have a question--since the Champ chooses the Bowl--why wouldn't you want to go to the Bahamas or Hawaii Bowls? Beaches all around but further and more exotic...

Should be a great game though.
