So to quote Dennis Green, "if you want to crown them, crown them." But there seems to be a whole lot of fluff that the top teams got fat on. IMHO, put any of those teams in the SEC West and they would all have at least two losses and most would likely have more. That's not necessarily a reflection on how good they are as individual teams, but rather a comment on the relatively easier path to a significant win total.
Can we stop with this SEC west BS please. That division is not what it used to be. Besides Bama everyone took a big step back this season.
How many games did SEC West teams lose outside the SEC?

Not counting Bama they went 2-3 against the power 5 though they did also lose to BYU whom they count as a P5 when it comes to scheduling so 2-4. They also have a loss to South Alabama from the Sun Belt on their resume. Outside of Bama no one finished with less than 4 loses and the highest rank of the other 13 SEC teams NOT named Alabama was 14th. Auburn at 8-4 ranked 14th which to me is a bit of a stretch seeing as Pitt who is also 8-4 with wins against both the ACC and B1G champs is ranked 23rd.

I looked it up. Those three losses were to FSU, Clemson, and Wisconsin, all of whom are ranked in the top 10 and are playing in NY6 bowls. All were close games, and two were on the road.
And last time I checked, Alabama was in the SEC West.

Ah, State Penn didn't even win the state.
Second, State Penn is a disgrace to the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with its corruption and its clueless fan base.

Rutgers fans are like Kentucky football fans. Boasting about the accomplishments of teams that kick their butt.
Gotta love conferences.
