Total fail by Aresco with bowl games.

Why have a bowl game at 1:00 PM (Central time) on Monday December 19th?! That is a regular work day. Players get a nice trip, period.

Everything else about Tulsa's bowl sucks.

Actually that looks like a comma. Also, have you been living under a rock for the past 3 years? This bowl's always been played on the Monday afternoon before Xmas.

I don't care if they've played it 10 years in a row at this time. However, Christmas is not always on Sunday, so this year's game is a particularly bad (early) bowl time. Monday, December 19th at 1:00 PM (Central) is a stupid time for a bowl game.

Thanks for your input. Hope you enjoy watching everyone else play.

Really should go 7-0 in these games. If we do, we would have five 10-game winners.

The bowl games give an opportunity for the AAC to show it's worth. The Tigers will have their hands full with WKU.

You're right, no one wants to see an average Sunbelt team

Well, that's the reason our fans aren't traveling dude. We're not travelling to watch a 7 win team play in a game that might as well be on the moon given the distance from campus.

You dont find a trip to Florida over the holidays an attractive option? There is more to see than the game!

Most of our fans don't vacation in Florida because of the distance. (Except for Pensacola/Destin) Disney World is amazing I'm sure, but the largest portion of our bowl buying ticket base are fans with young families. School isn't out here by the time the game is played, so for many it means pulling kids out of school and missing work, and then figuring out how to come up with the cash to fly the entire family to Orlando, which is an easy flight, but is not cheap. Especially not around Christmas.

The alternatives are all 5-6 hours from our campus and easy day trips for fans. This isn't.

Houston vs. SDSU in the Las Vegas bowl Houston -6
Memphis vs. WKU in the Boca bowl Memphis +1
UCF vs. Arkansas State in the Cure Bowlcen UCF -3
Tulsa vs. CMU in the Miami Beach bowl Tulsa -13
Navy vs. LA Tech in the Armed Forces Bowl Navy -5 (may not be factoring in key injuries)
USF vs. South Carolina in the Birmingham Bowl USF -13
Temple vs. Wake Forest in the Military Bowl Temple -17

Should be favored in every game except perhaps Memphis, which looks like a pick'em.

This is where 6-1 came from. Boca Bowl was the figured loss.

Not sure the extent of Navy's personnel losses, so that one may nto be as obvious as it looks on paper.

Well we may not be in a bowl this year but we took our first step BACK toward bowls and hopefully we hire a great coach.

Interesting to see who UC and UH hire.

The fact that the 10-3 AAC Champion (meaning "arguably" the leagues best team) is playing against a 6-6 team who has lost 3 straight and 4 of 5 is absolutely miserable. I feel for Tulsa as well, but this league needs to figure this crap out because this is embarrassing.

If we don't earn the Access bowl, yeah, we're in a spot where our champion is going to play a crap bowl against a crap team.

Take the positives from it, though. You're going to be a 2 TD favorite against a P5. Sucks that it's Wake and not a bigger name, but go wax their ass and finish in the top 25.

It is what it is. We had a chance to pull off the impossible and we couldn't do it. You can try to pinpoint the reasons and make all the excuses you want. The fact is we stumbled to the finish in the second half of the season.

And call me delusional, but I feel that we, the Coogs' fanbase, deserved a better performance overall from our boys. We should at least be 10-2. We should've beaten SMU.

Then again, it goes to how deep our league is. I don't care what the pundits say. We are a hell of a football league.

Then show up in big numbers so bigger bowls notice and blow them out.

Interesting matchups, but way too G5 heavy. Two of our P5 bowl matchups fell through. Really, the higher number of P5 matchups included in our bowl line up were our line-ups only redeeming feature. Win a bunch of games. Get ranked and your reward will s a CUSA/SB/MAC team. Not much of a recruiting tool.

I agree with you about the pundits. To me it was obvious the way the media did everything they could to ignore our rise as a conference. I've never seen a conference where so many of its teams were winning so many games yet received so few votes in the polls and when we had a ranked team play a conference game against another o-1 loss team and lost neither team would be ranked.. if we were ranked fairly well would've kept 3-4 teams ranked the last 4 weeks of the season. 07-coffee3
