RE: WMU vs Wisconsin
I think this is a good opportunity for a G5 team to beat a P5. Wisconsin has three losses. I'd much rather have them than that Florida State team NIU had to play.

Already trying to make yourself feel better about a WMU win by comparing Wisconsin to Florida State?

There's no comparison. That Florida State team had 11 draft picks and three 1st Rd picks. I look at Wisconsin's resume and I think WMU has a good chance. Its probably the most favorable they could have gotten.

Buck the Badgers!
Other than some mega-national stage jitters, we oughta be playing loose with little pressure (unlike in the MACC). Hopefully we catch Wisconsin a little disinterested, dispirited and/or overconfident. IF we lose - figure us being about -14 underdog - I just hope it's competitive.
Looking forward to booking a fan package this week.

RE: WMU vs Wisconsin
Wisconsin's going to be PISSED. They were stomping PSU early and folded like a deck of cards. They are going to take it out on us.
That said, if our D steps up and we get turnovers... and Terrell is on-point throughout the game (unlike against Ohio when rattled) -- we could pull the upset. I don't know if I'd rather have Wisconsin over Florida State. If Florida State's bringing their A-game, I wouldn't. But then again, if either team's bringing their A-game, we're likely to lose by a lot.
I'll have to research Wisconsin and see what our chances will be....

So you'd rather play the 8th ranked team (Wisconsin this year) than the 12th ranked team (Florida State in 2012). Hey, ok.

Please don't get blown away, WMU. Make a good name and look for our league. With or without Fleck, hopefully you're more than just the head coach.
I'll be a huge Bronco fan that day.

RE: WMU vs Wisconsin
STATS:
DEFENSE:
Points Per Game: Wisconsin #4 (15.5), WMU #16 (19.5)
Yards Per Game: Wisconsin #7 (303), WMU #23t (353)
Pass YDS Per Game: Wisconsin #36 (206.1), WMU #32 (201.8)
Rush YDS Per Game: Wisconsin #2 (96.9), WMU #45 (151.2)
INTs Obtained: Wisconsin #2 (21), WMU #14t (15)
Sacks Obtained: Wisconsin #25t (32), WMU #55t (26)
Fumbles Obtained: Wisconsin (4), WMU (5)
OFFENSE:
Points Per Game: Wisconsin #66 (28.7), WMU #8 (43.5)
Yards Per Game: Wisconsin #87 (384), WMU #16 (496)
Pass YDS Per Game: Wisconsin #106 (179.2), WMU #41 (259.7)
Rush YDS Per Game: Wisconsin #42 (204.5), WMU #22 (236.2)
INTs Thrown: Wisconsin #60t (10), WMU #1 (3)
Times Sacked: Wisconsin #47t (22), WMU #15t (14)
Fumbles Coughed: Wisconsin (1), WMU (2)
IMO, it's going to be like an Ohio Rush D. If anything, that Ohio game trained us on what to expect (Ohio is #3 @ 3.0 Rushing Yds/Attempt, Wisconsin is #8 @ 3.2yds/att). But unlike Ohio, Wisconsin's Still Good at the Pass D, but not unstoppable, as seen in the Penn State game and they aren't in the Top 25 on that.

RE: WMU vs Wisconsin
The guys on ESPN's Bowl Show pretty much dismissed WMU against Wisconsin. They went pretty much on the P5 script, "The Badgers won't take Western seriously", "The Broncos wouldn't be undefeated in the BIG Whatever", etc. etc.
I'll be happy for the MAC if Western can play them tough for four quarters and will be ecstatic should they come away with a victory.

Wisconsin is 9-3 and didn't win their conference. So your flawed argument rests on the fact that a "playoff committee" voted Wisconsin #8 and therefore is better? Hey, ok.

I remember the same discounting of UCF when they were up against Baylor. They were predicting a massacre. Lou Hotlz was the only person who had UCF's back. Even back then, UCF's resume was a lot more impressive than WMU with wins over a good PSU in Happy Valley, a top 10 battle in the Louisville win, along with a single loss against a great USCe (who finished 11-2) that they should have won. Technically, UCF was a BCS team back then..... but the bias still showed.

I agree. Even if WMU plays them close or wins, the P5 shills will claims that Wisky was not interested, disappointed, whatever, as an excuse.
