Bad Karma Baylor & Penn S
1. Baylor goes 6-6 despite playing 3 cupcakes

2. Nelson Briles turned down for Houston job

3. The boys from Sandusky-Paterno land become 1st Big 10 champion to not be selected for the CFP

Somehow many of us think the world is a better place today.

If karma was real, Penn State wouldn't have a program.

I believe in hell and I believe that Paterno is human bacon right now.

That's also probably true.

I remember the FB post Briles' daughter wrote of how Art was a victim in all this.

Insufferable, irredeemable woman is probably the classiest thing I can call her.

So this karma apparently saw fit to visit two rosters of athletes and staff that had clean hands but nevertheless are being punished for the sins of others?

Is the world a better place? Or just a better place for those who choose to appropriate revenge for their own satisfaction?

Well put.

Grobe and the 2016 Baylor team had nothing to do with the past.
Franklin and the 2016 Penn St team had nothing to do with the past.

Neither of them deserved any punishments on the field.

Exactly. The people that needed to be dealt with got dealt with.

If someone steals your car and your neighbor buys it innocently, should he be allowed to keep your car since he was not involved in the theft, but only benefited from it?

Well, no, but nobody with either program is possessing something that doesn't legally belong to them.

I think a better reworking of your question is something along the lines of "Should someone who moved into the house that previously was occupied by a criminal be given the same (or worse) punishment than the person who committed the crime?" And as a follow-up, "Is it morally correct to cheer for the misfortune of the people who live in the house now because of what the previous tenants did?"

Yeah, this whole thread is just weird. Some people don't seem to understand how karma works (if karma even is a real thing).

Back to the original post:

(1) Baylor went 6-6 because they simply weren't a very good team in 2016.

(2) Who the heck is Nelson Briles? Why would Houston hire someone I've never heard of (and doesn't even show up in a Google search)? I've heard of Art and Kendal, but Nelson?!?!?

(3) Penn State is not part of the college football playoff because they lost 2 games in 2016, and 4 other teams with equally daunting schedules lost less than 2 games.

"Karma" had nothing to do with any of the above.

They did not replaced the staff at Baylor. Just the head coach. The victims of rape at Baylor said the coaches never did a thing to helped them. Like I said, the whole staff needs to be cleaned out if they protected the players. Plus, the coaches and players mutiny on Grobe which lead to this. If you still have players and coaches on the team still think the victims are lying is just enough to kill that program.

He was involved in the incident, though, because he bought the car.

To make your analogy correct, you'd have to punish the neighbor on the other side of your house, that did nothing wrong, but went to the same school as the thief.
