The Bridgeforth Stomper
Been meaning to ask, is anyone here the guy on the first row of the upper deck around the 35 yard line APC side who pounds his foot on 3rd downs and other big defensive plays?

Shoe selection certainly makes a difference in stomping endurance.

I don't think it's the shoe, it's the leg. I think he could do it in a sock. 03-lmfao

When sitting in 305 I've wondered at times how sturdy the mezzanine is.

They may need to re-rivet that entire section as some have started to come out .

Does the guy w/ the French horn still come to games? He used to sit in front of me in pre-remodel days. That guy rooted hard! He'd blow on it for crucial 3rd downs. Believe his son posted on here periodically.

Imagine what it would be like if the stadium was full and stomping in unison!

Old RFK stadium was deafening back in the day for the same reason and the whole stadium would literally sway back and forth, very intimidating for the opposing team. Always thought BFS could be the same way due to its metal construction.

Believe Schor made a post game comment about "feeling" the noise on the field. Would love to one day feel 25,000 feet stomping at BFS.

Those seats that would sway at RFK were the old removable seats in the left field to center field area from back when the Senators played there. They became "temporary permanent" after the Senators moved to Texas. That place literally rocked!

Yeah, our tickets are over in section 209. I work overseas now, but he still goes to games and was there on Saturday. In his crackled, hoarse words he said, "I did you proud!" as we talked Sunday morning. He clearly was rootin' hard and mentioned the band warning as the turning point. 70 years young as of November. 04-bow04-rock04-bow

It was actually a Pakistani bulb horn - no idea why/where he got it from. But without the bulb, he'd just use his 'ol trombone choppers to light it up, thus the self-proclaimed name, "Horny Grandpa". It was fun from about 2004-2008 until the stadium rules around the CAA changed and we were threatened to have it confiscated. 05-mafia01-lauramac2

The stadium was GREAT on Saturday, especially after UNH/refs complained about the Band. Now if we can get that same effect with 25K this Friday night.

No question about it. Really was great to see, and even better when everyone around you is celebrating big plays together.

103 was rough at the start with some old lady getting her panties in a bunch trying to get us to sit down right off the get -go. But ended up awesome with some good, loud partners (plus we kicked UNH's *ss) so I may need to go back on Friday. Any other section (& warmer ...no upper deck) suggestions. Sounds like 200 level is a little rowdier

That moment has made my list of most fun moments in Bridgeforth...I know I went totally nuts.

The older guy next to me murmured "well, they really aren't supposed to be playing" ...he was a bit crotchety the whole game but he did root hard, so I didn't mind.

I think one of the coolest things to see at Bridgeforth and maybe it's really because I'm a young season ticket holder is to see the same people every year and they still are rooting as hard if not harder than the year before. Really makes everything that much more special.

RE: The Bridgeforth Stomper
I just watched the first half, bourne interview and the first 3 mins of the 3rd quarter on ESPN3 and BFS looked and sounded incredible. The band sounded top notch (like P5 level), the purple in the stands looks awesome and the fans sounded loud. Of course the MRDs getting reprimanded was awesome and felt like we kept that intensity at least to the end of the half. As bummed as I am I can't make it back to BFS this week, I'm excited to see BFS on national tv, I really hope it is packed!
