Now the problem is even when the plays work the scrubs GT has playing can't drain the open looks. This year will be a parade of failure at GT, and who is coaching this particular year is irrelevant to that. I don't say that to excuse Pastner. Far from it. I think he was a terrible hire, and I'm ecstatic that his hiring went down so poorly that the GT Athletic Director (Mike Bobinski) fled to Purdue. That no talent arse clown came from Xavier and had never ran or even sniffed running a big boy football program. Mike Bobinski was a cancer on GT Athletics, and his departure was openly cheered by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. If Pastner is the price that must be payed to eradicate that cancer ... that's a price worth paying.

Easier to bash the hell out of and continue to bash the hell out of someone who committed the egregious sin of being good, but short of great, and finished with two mediocre seasons and recognized overall it was time for a change and took it.

No egregious sin. He's just a lousy coach and player manager. He drained the program and Christmas came in April for Tiger basketball.
