Exclamation Temple to the ACC?
Just kidding but they had a decent season so you know a thread like this is coming.

RE: Temple to the ACC?
Pitt, Cuse, Miami, BC, and VT were all present when they were kicked out of the Big East.

Temple basketball used to be good back when we thought Bill Cosby was this good guy.

RE: Temple to the ACC?
I have no problem with Temple as long as they stay with their current level of commitment to sports that matter. I do think however that the ACC is stable enough and growing its revenue enough that when the time comes for expansion, that the ACC could attract schools that could help he league moreso than Temple.

If they beat Wake Forest, admit them immediately.

Is Temple committed to winning or committed to getting in a P5 conference? I have a feeling they fall back to traditional levels of competence if they make it into a P5 conference.

Like I will always say, there's no reason we shouldn't continue to work towards our goal. We've invested in football and basketball, and started to invest in our olympic sports. The commitment will continue to be there.

IF the ACC ever expanded, Temple will be near the top of the expansion candidates for multiple reasons none of which takes into account any of the blather on this message board.

I seriously doubt that any time who lacks even token support from the football schools will be anywhere near the top of any expansion list.

We'd still have a better shot than Newberry.

Not really. Zero = zero.

The football schools wouldn't support UConn, who brought with them two of the best basketball programs ever and had at least shown that they could compete in the weakest power conference by winning the Big East one year. Tell me why they would support a school that brings not only weaker basketball but even weaker football than UConn had at the time?

Enjoy the AAC. You are going to be there for a long, long time.

I will believe qwerty (who has posted the accurate behind the scenes events of the Big East when Pitt/Syracuse left and is not a Temple troll) versus the Newberry guy who has zero inside information.
