Thank You, Temple Owls!
Not only did you eliminate the committee's last hope to dislodge WMU but by beating Navy you helped out your former conference mates.
I know that we MAC fans gave Temple a ration of crap while they were in the league for football but I have to say that they have come a long ways since their nearly dead program was revived while they were in the MAC.
In a lot of ways, my Broncos have led a charmed life this season. Every time a threat appeared (Houston, Boise, Navy) the dominoes fell in our favor and the door was opened. It is our destiny, it seems, this season.
Thanks to all MAC fans for their support this season. It's been an unbelievable ride that I'll never forget. I just booked a hotel in Arlington as the 4th quarter of Temple-Navy began. Once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm so fired up. Couldn't sleep last night because the adrenaline wouldn't stop even hours after the game.

Matt Rhule is a cool coach. Couldn't have happened to better program.
I also think that Temple's rise in the MAC and continued improvement in the AAC shows there isn't that much of a difference between the conferences.
That is why this whole CFP ranking system is so stupid. Good football teams are good football teams.

With Oklahoma winning today they are going to the Sugar Bowl.
Could you end up drawing USC in the Cotton Bowl? They are a hot team that is looking for a CFP bowl. They are out of the playoff, out of the Rose Bowl. I can't see them in the Peach Bowl.
It will be interesting.

That's hogwash. That's like me saying there isn't much difference between the AAC and the ACC because Louisville's resurgence in the AAC to where they are now. But anyway congrats to WMU and good luck

Louisville is another case, continued success into the ACC.
Utah has been about the same in the PAC as has TCU in the B12.
When it comes to really good teams the evidence leans toward they can succeed in many conferences.

Bleacher Report says Temple in the Military Bowl vs. Wake Forest.

RE: Thank You, Temple Owls!
Almost half of the NY6 teams are from the B1G & MAC. :) Gotta love it.
PSU's run D will be like Ohio's -- strong (yes, Ohio's is strong as fudge; #4 run D in the nation). But their passing D will be better, so WMU has to bring their A-game on that front unlike last night. PSU's a 2nd half team -- so I would predict WMU, if bringing it all + PJ, would have a small lead at halftime, then lose it in the 2nd half by a solid margin. WMU's D can step up, but it can't hold up thru and thru.

Well, WMU does seem to have the B10's "number" this year so far..hopefully it'll continue and they'll play much better than they did in the MACC.

I dunno, I think that's reaching. Northwestern and Illinois are far from Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin's level. Seeing how well Ohio held WMU in check makes me think they may not matchup well with a P5 team that has a good defense.

I agree with what you say about NW & Illinois not being a Wisconsin or Penn State. That said, Ohio had a #4 Run D in the nation, and up there around the Top 5 in sacks in the nation. Their overall D has been good and they never came close to being blown out by anybody this year, due to that. WMU could have responded better, don't get me wrong. But when you have a D like Ohio's, and you don't bring your A game -- your mojo on O can be offkey for a while, no matter who you are. So in the end, I don't look at it like a travesty... just Ohio stepping up and WMU having a bit of an offkey O-game to boot (namely 2nd half).

There isn't a big difference between any conference these days.
Kansas would have finished at the bottom of the MAC.
The difference comes in with the Top 25 teams and other teams with good records.
