Congrats Temple and Matt Rhule!
I remember when Matt was an asst at Western Carolina in the early 2000s and they beat us in 2004 in Cullowhee. He got out after we returned the favor in 2005 but his career has been gangbusters ever since. Most folks would be shocked to know that WCU's defensive coordinator that same year is Geoff Collins, present day Florida Gators DC.

Always liked him. Glad for him today. Congrats Temple. Kind of poetic justice. The AAC is essentially the old Big East which once kicked Temple out of the league for not holding their own. Talk about Karma?

Great job Temple! AAC Champions!

Glad to see you guys hang in there and not only make it to the Champ game, but to beat a very, very good Navy team in convincing fashion.

Welcome to the AAC Champs club. 04-cheers

Thanks everybody. This was an amazing season. I was down in the dumps after losing to Army. I thought "same old Temple" but they just kept on improving throughout the year.

Agreed. Very happy for Temple.

Huge respect for the program. They' ve been one of my favorite teams in the AAC.

Lot to be said for winning the east twice.

Enjoy the scoreboard on this board and others for 12 months.

I'm looking forward to playing you guys next year.

Major props to Temple. Dominated today. Despite the opening loss to Army, they looked like they were even better this year than last year.

Congrats on the AAC title! 04-cheers

Thanks. Well earned by the team, and it all started with a last second victory over UCF. This is a tough league. Any one of six schools were strong enough to win this conference.

Anyone else want to call the East week? USF and Temple abused the AAC west this year.

Congratulations Temple. It takes a lot to break the Navy home winning streak and you just did it.

Congratulations Owls.

I'm surprised but happy for all of you Owl fans.

Sincere congratulations to the Owls and all Owl fans on the surprise(?) championship. Very well played game. Will Coach Rule share his secret with the rest of the conference?

Great win for the Owls. According the advanced statistics Temple had a 65% percent probability to win this game. I was skeptical about that coming into the game because Temple has struggled with triple option teams. So, not entirely surprising though I didn't expect Temple to dominate the way they did.

Serious congratulations to Temple. I didn't think they could or would stop Navy and man I was really wrong. That's why you play the game though.

Nice work Owls. 04-cheers

Now Navy, go beat Army!

Thanks to all. It is always an honor to compete with the service academies and beating Navy on the road and breaking their home winning streak is special. When we were sitting at 3-3 and losing to UCF, I was certainly not thinking AAC CHAMPIONS for sure. This team just got better & better every week. We are blessed.

BEAT ARMY!

Congratulations to Temple and to Owl Nation. Very impressed with Matt Rhule and the job he has done for the Temple football program. All this loud talk about other "hot coaches" while he has been quietly getting it done:

2013: 2-10
2014: 6-6
2015: 10-4
2016: 10-3 (AAC Champions and Bowl TBD)

Would love to have a coach like him at Cincinnati.

Great win for Temple, but let's not get carried away.

I think head 2 head in favor of the west. 2 lazy to look it up.

Blessed to be in an extremely competitive but hugely undervalued conference.
