Conf RPI is impacted greatly once conf play starts....as if your members can have high RPI's...it will help out in every conf games.

If your members have low RPI's by late Dec...it will hurt in every conf game.

Also, many teams have already played their best non-conf games (many in Thanksgiving Tournaments or other early season non-conf games) so the opportunity for some might already be gone to improve their RPI and/or others can only go down in the coming weeks when they play weaker non-conf opponents at home (i.e. you get a lot more credit for road 1.4 pts and neutral site 1.0 pts wins vs home games where you get just 0.6 pt credit in RPI rankings).

UCF played really badly. I think we had over 20 turnovers but still got the win. I'll take it.

What is up with SMU. Any fans have some input? I can understand laying an egg out in Boise, but barely beat CS Bakersfield a few days ago and losing to Delaware St in 2H today. DSU is 1-6 against d1.

I disagree, a lot of teams play the tougher games in Dec to gear up for conference play.

Ya, I see that. It was 42-41 DSU when I posted that. 17-2 run since. Good timing. LOL.

Seem to start off the year okay. Blowing out bad teams. Beating Pitt. Hopefully just in a funk the last few games.
